Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe Airport where you will be met by our representative and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, there is an optional visit to the botanical gardens.
Day 2: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
A drive from Entebbe in a Southwest direction, passing over the Equator and onto lunch in Mbarara. After lunch, we’ll drive to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight luxurious Mweya lodge or mid-range Buffalo safari lodge
Day 3: Morning chimp tracking and afternoon boat Cruise.
After breakfast, we’ll track chimpanzees in Kyambura gorge. As well as wild Chimpanzees, the gorge is home to a variety of other primates such as Black and White colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey, plus forest Elephants and birdlife. After lunch, we’ll take a boat along the Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake Gorge. Viewing wildlife from the water is a unique experience where we’ll hope to see Hippo, Buffalo, Elephant and more plus birds at a very close range. Day 4: Morning game drive and drive to Bwindi.
Wake up early for a morning game drive. You may see animals such as Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, Uganda Kob, Waterbuck and more, plus abundant birdlife. After your game drive, we’ll lunch at Savannah hotel and then drive to Bwindi National Park in preparation for gorilla trekking the next day. Dinner and overnight Ruhija gorilla lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla tracking day.
Early morning breakfast before going for a briefing from the National Park rangers. Remember to carry packed lunch and bottled water with you. Depending on where we find the gorillas in the forest, trekking can be estimated anywhere between 2-9hrs and the trekking success with experienced guides is at 99%. After trekking, we’ll return to our lodge and relax. Time permitting you will have the option to take a community walk and visit the orphanage, hospital, curio shops, and do it Ugandan! Overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Lodge.
Day 6: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, we will make our scenic journey through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with a terraced landscape. An area referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa“. We will continue to Lake Mburo National Park. Overnight at Rwakobo rock lodge.
Day 7: Drive back to Entebbe.
Early morning game drive and then head back to Entebbe passing through Mbarara, for lunch and the Equator for shopping. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at upmarket Lake Victoria hotel or Airport guest house.
Day 8: Reserved for your flight or Spending the day touring around our capital city, do shopping and later drive to the airport for your flight back home.
